Installation of murals

Installation instructions

Upon receipt of your mural

When you receive your mural, it is carefully rolled up in a rigid tube.

Inside, you will find a personalized printed sheet with:

  • Your name and address
  • An overview of your mural
  • The numbered bands (band 1, band 2, band 3, etc.)

This sheet serves as a visual guide: it shows exactly how the strips fit together on your wall.

Step 1 – Unroll and view

1.    Remove the mural from the tube.

2.    Carefully unroll it on the floor or on a large table.

3.    Just like on the included sheet, each strip is numbered.

4.    Check the order, from the smallest number to the largest.

👉 Always start installation with strip 1, located on the left side of the wall, then continue in ascending order.

Recommended equipment

Products

  • Recommended adhesive: Dynamic – Heavy-Duty Clear Wallpaper Adhesive
  • Primer (only if necessary – see section below)
Example: Sico GoPrime – 100% acrylic latex primer-sealer

Simple tools

  • Roller, brush, tray
  • Level or laser
  • Smoothing tool (plastic or rubber)
  • Ruler and retractable blade knife
  • Scissors
  • Clean cloth
  • Ground cover

Quick wall preparation

Before installing your mural:

1.    Clean the wall with warm water and a little soap.

2.    Allow to dry completely.

When is a primer necessary?

Only in these 4 cases:

  • New drywall that has never been painted
  • Wall with only one coat of primer, no paint
  • Oil-painted wall
  • Visible plaster repairs (fillers) — prime only the repairs

👉 In all other cases, you do not need primer.

Installation

1. Draw your starting line

  • Use a laser or a level.
  • Draw a straight line to align strip 1.
  • This guide guarantees a straight result from start to finish.

 2. Apply the glue

  • Apply the adhesive only to the wall.
  • Use the roller to cover the surface and the brush for the edges.

 3. Apply the first strip

  • Place strip 1 on the line you have drawn.
  • Leave a slight excess at the top and bottom.
  • Smooth from the center toward the sides to remove air and excess glue.
  • Wipe off any excess immediately.

 4. Apply the following strips

  • Arrange in order: tape 2, tape 3, etc.
  • No overlap.
  • Adjust so that the pattern matches perfectly.

Finish

  • When all the strips are in place, trim off the excess with a ruler and a knife.
  • Go over it again with the smoothing tool to even it out.
  • Leave to dry for 24 hours.

In summary

  • You will receive a clear kit: wall chart + printed plan.
  • Unroll, view, and lay down in numerical order.
  • Primer is rarely necessary.
  • The glue should always be applied to the wall, never behind the paper.
  • With a little precision, the result is superb.
